TripActions Nabs $155M For Travel Management

TripActions, a provider of tools for managing business travel, has raised $155 million in a Series E funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz, Addition and startup investor Elad Gil.

Previously, the 5-year-old, Palo Alto-based company raised over $475 million in known venture funding, along with extensive debt financing, per Crunchbase data.

The funding is timed to come in advance of an anticipated major rebound in the corporate travel space at some point in 2021 as vaccination against COVID-19 becomes more widespread.

  • iSTOX boosts Series A to $50M: iSTOX, a digital securities platform for private equity investment, has reportedly added new investors from Japan to its Series A round, bringing its total to $50 million. New backers include the Development Bank of Japan and JIC Venture Growth Investments.
  • Ant’s Malaysian venture eyes $150M: TNG Digital, a Malaysian e-wallet operator owned by CIMB Group and China’s Ant Group is in advanced talks with investors to raise at least $150 million to fund expansion plans, according to a Reuters report citing unnamed sources.
  • Curtsy bags $11M for resale platform: Curtsy, a resale app that lets women buy and sell clothing, shoes and accessories via their phones, raised $11 million in Series A funding. The news comes a week after Poshmark, a social platform for buying and selling clothes and accessories, entered the public market. Funding was led by Index Ventures.

iCapital Network acquires AI Insight: New York fintech platform iCapital Network agreed to acquire the assets of AI Insight, an alternative investment education and compliance platform based in Ohio. Terms of the deal were undisclosed.
