Amsterdam-based MessageBird, a provider of cloud-based customer service software and automation tools, raised $200 million in a Series C funding round led by Spark Capital.
The financing reportedly sets a valuation of $3 billion for the 9-year-old company, a one-time participant in the Y Combinator accelerator program.

Today, the company says that more than 15,000 global customers use its tools to route messages and calls on their behalf. Its offerings include text, chat and voice APIs for use in company-customer interactions.
MessageBird previously raised $60 million in Series A funding in 2017, per Crunchbase data. TechCrunch reports that the company later closed a $40 million Series B round that was not publicly announced.
