Cooler Screens raises $80M Series A

Chicago-based Cooler Screens, a developer of interactive digital displays to replace glass doors in store aisles, has reportedly raised $80 million in a new Series C funding round.

Investors in the round include Verizon Ventures, Microsoft’s M12 venture fund, GreatPoint Ventures and others.

The company’s full-door ads are designed to draw shoppers attention and only run when consumers are at a distance. After installing screens in 50 Walgreens locations in the Chicago area, the startup announced plans to expand to 2,500 of its stores across the United States.

Funding rounds

  • Your.MD closes $30M Series A: Digital health platform Your.MD announced it has raised $30 million in a Series A round led by consumer health company Reckitt Benckiser. The London-based startup plans to use the funding to accelerate its current digital self-care platform.
  • CoreView raises $10M for SaaS platform: CoreView, an Office 365 management platform based in Alpharetta, Georgia, closed on a $10 million Series B funding round led by Insight Partners. The company will use the new funding for product innovation and expand its global network of enterprise clients, international resellers and managed service providers.
  • Nu Quantum raises seed funds for quantum photonics: Cambridge, U.K.-based Nu Quantum, a startup focused on quantum photonics, has raised £2.1 million in seed funding in a round led by Amadeus Capital Partners.
