Flipkart bags $3.6B

Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart raised $3.6 billion in a fresh funding round at a reported post-money valuation of $37.6 billion.

The round appears to be a pre-IPO financing for the 14-year-old company, which sells goods across a variety of categories from groceries to electronics to furniture.

Lead investors in the round include GIC, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Walmart.

Microsoft reportedly buying RiskIQ

Microsoft is acquiring digital threat management provider RiskIQ for around $500 million, according to a Bloomberg report. Founded in 2009, RiskIQ previously raised around $83 million in known funding, per Crunchbase data.

Cybersecurity

VU raises $12M: Argentina-based VU, an antifraud and identity protection provider, reportedly raised $12 million in Series B funding. The round brings total funding for the company to around $20 million.
