Collibra raises $250M for data intelligence

Brussels-based Collibra, a data intelligence platform, announced raising $250 million in a Series G round led by Sequoia Capital Global Equities and Sofina at a valuation around $5.25 billion.

Founded in 2008, Collibra previously raised over $340 million in venture funding. The company’s tools help enterprise customers build what Collibra calls a metadata graph, enabling users to classify and understand data at scale.

The company says it will use the funding to expand hiring and to deepen relationships with partners like AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake and Tableau.

ZenBusiness lands $200M Series C at $1.7B valuation

Austin, Texas-based ZenBusiness closed a $200 million Series C at a valuation of $1.7 billion. The company’s platform helps automate the process of starting a business and other compliance services. The round was led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and existing investors Cathay Innovation and Greycroft.

Founded in 2015, the company has raised nearly $275 million to date, according to Crunchbase data.

Contrast Security raises $150M Series E

Los Altos, California-based Contrast Security announced a $150 million Series E at a greater than billion dollar valuation. The new round was led by Liberty Strategic Capital—founded by former Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin—with  participation from Warburg Pincus, Battery Ventures, General Catalyst, Microsoft’s M-12 Fund, AXA Venture Partners and Acero Capital.

The cybersecurity company helps enterprises with security application testing, helping development teams protect against advanced threats and reduce software risk

Founded in 2014, the company has raised nearly $270 million to date, according to Crunchbase data.

Helsing lands $100M for defense tech: Helsing, a defense tech startup that produces live maps of battlefields, raised $116 million in a funding round backed by Prima Materia, an investment company founded by Spotify founder Daniel Ek.

You.com raises $20M for AI-driven search: You.com, a privacy-oriented search engine, raised $20 million in seed funding led by Marc Benioff. The Palo Alto, California-based company also announced its public beta launch.
