Silicon Valley based Operator Collective has committed capital of $45 million from more than 100 operators, above the fund target of $30 million. Mallun Yen founder of Operator Collective seeks to bring leading operators together, and with this fund she has done just that. Further, 90 percent of the fund LPs are women and 40 percent are people of color.

Operator LPs in the fund include Claire Hughes Johnson, Stripe COO, Lexi Reese, Gusto COO, Li Fan, Lime CTO, Christina Kosmowski, Slack CCO and more. Institutional funds invested alongside these operators including Kapor Capital, Perkins Fund, Bloomberg Beta, Gingerbread Capital, University of Minnesota, Michigan State University, and the WK Kellogg Foundation.
The fund will not focus on a specific stage, but will invest in B2B companies with product fit and revenue. Yen is joined by Leyla Seka, ex Salesforce EVP and GM, as an investment partner in the fund. Operator Collective kicks off with some portfolio investments in Guild Education, IronClad, and DataGrail amongst others.
